Les W. Hall, MD
Les W. Hall, MD, is interim dean of the University of Missouri School of Medicine and a professor in the school's Department of Internal Medicine. He previously served as the school's senior associate dean for clinical affairs and chief medical officer for University of Missouri Health Care.

Since joining the University of Missouri in 1999, Dr. Hall has been active in medical student and resident education. He has received numerous teaching awards, including the Society of Hospital Medicine's Excellence in Teaching Award.
In recent years, Dr. Hall has focused on advancing interprofessional education, especially in the areas of quality improvement, patient safety and teamwork. The National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education selected him as one of 16 leaders to serve as inaugural members of the center's national advisory council in 2013. He also recently led a national initiative funded by the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation to teach interprofessional team-based care. He chaired the Academy for Healthcare Improvement's education committee from 2009 to 2012 and serves as a board member of the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative.
As interim dean, Dr. Hall oversees the medical school's more than 675 faculty members, 1,500 staff members, and 1,000 medical students, residents, fellows and other students completing advanced degrees. He also is responsible for University Physicians, the practice plan for the medical school's faculty physicians, and he works closely with the medical school's more than 7,700 physician alumni.
Dr. Hall received his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis and completed training in internal medicine at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The MU Medical Alumni Organization presented him with an Honorary Medical Alumni Award in 2012.
