University Dermatology Clinic

University Dermatology clinics are held daily in the University Physicians' Medical Building located adjacent to University Hospital. We serve patients of all ages and provide them with the highest quality of medical and surgical treatment for diseases of skin, hair and nails. We treat a wide variety of pediatric and adult dermatologic diseases, including acne, eczema, skin infection, hair loss, psoriasis, rosacea, skin ulcers, skin cancers, warts and contact dermatitis. We also offer cosmetic services including botulinum toxin, phototherapy, laser treatments, sclerotherapy and chemical peels. For an appointment in dermatology clinics, please call: 573-882-4800.


University Pediatric Dermatology Clinics

The only board certified Pediatric Dermatologists in Mid-Missouri, Jon A. Dyer, MD and Kari Martin, MD offer appointments for pediatric patients every day of the week. We provide the highest quality of medical and surgical treatment for diseases of skin, hair and nails in infants, children, and adolescents. We treat a wide variety of pediatric dermatologic diseases, including acne, eczema, pigmented and blood vessel birthmarks, skin infections, hair loss, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), psoriasis, molluscum, warts, contact dermatitis and a variety of other childhood rashes. Our faculty are recognized for their special expertise in the diagnosis and care of inherited skin diseases and a wide variety of vascular birthmarks and malformations. We also offer botulinum toxin therapy for excessive sweating, phototherapy, and pulsed dye laser therapy for vascular birthmarks among other procedures. Dermatology Surgery and MOHS Surgery Clinics

The Mohs Micrographic Surgery clinic is located in the University Physicians Medical Building adjacent to the general dermatology clinic. Our patients with aggressive and complex skin tumors receive exceptional operative care and residents receive an accomplished education in operative dermatology and Mohs surgery. Ellis Fischel Outpatient Dermatology Clinic

Now part of an eight-story, 310,500-square-foot tower connected to University Hospital, Ellis' new home is designed to offer the latest advances in patient care in a welcoming and relaxing environment. An outpatient dermatology clinic was reestablished at Ellis in 2004, and the clinic sees general dermatology patients and performs skin cancer screenings. Patients are referred to the Ellis Fischel Outpatient Clinic for potentially infectious disease in immunocompromised patients, skin examination for malignant melanoma or other skin malignancy, suspected skin cancer or metastasis, HIV/AIDS related skin conditions, and drug related skin reactions. Harry S. Truman Veterans Clinic

The Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital is located directly across the street from University Hospital. Dermatology clinics provide our veterans with outstanding medical and surgical dermatologic care. Although the focus of these clinics centers on prevention and treatment of skin cancer, we welcome veterans with any dermatologic concerns. The Veterans' Clinic is operated by both residents and attending physicians with a parallel suite open for surgical procedures. Call 573-816-4120 for appointments.


University Physicians - Woodrail Dermatology Clinic

The Woodrail Dermatology Clinic is located at 1000 W. Nifong, Building 2 Ste. 150 in Columbia, MO (view map). Our dermatologists provide comprehensive treatments for diseases of skin, hair and nails for people of all ages. We know that your skin health is important to you, and our team of highly trained, experienced physicians and staff at Woodrail Dermatology Clinic is available to provide the highest quality care to all of our patients so you can feel comfortable putting your best face forward. Jefferson City Dermatology

University Physicians – Jefferson City is located at 2707 W Edgewood Dr Suite 102, Jefferson City, MO 65109. Our dermatologists, two of whom specialize in pediatrics, and physicians assistant’s provide comprehensive medical and surgical treatments for diseases of skin, hair and nails for people of all ages. We treat a wide variety of pediatric and adult dermatologic diseases, including acne, eczema, skin infection, hair loss, psoriasis, rosacea, skin ulcers, warts, contact dermatitis, and skin cancers. Inpatient Consultations

The dermatology department provides a consultation service for all inpatients in the University Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer, Veterans Hospital, Missouri Psychiatric Center, MU Women's and Children's Hospital, and Health South Rehabilitation Center. All consults are seen and staffed promptly, so as to provide the consulting team with the most accurate diagnosis and treatment.


Outpatient Consultations

In addition to patients who are currently admitted to our hospital system, the dermatology department provides a consultation service to all outpatient clinics including general medical specialty, pediatric and neonatal,and surgical specialty clinics; emergency room consults, and urgent care consults at MU Women's and Children's Hospital, University Hospital and Veterans Hospital. Our residents will receive exposure to a wide variety of dermatologic diseases.


Telemedicine Clinics

The Department of Dermatology is proud to have one of the most experienced Live Interactive/Hybrid Teledermatology Clinics in the United States. Through the use of the latest telecommunications technology, we are able to see and treat patients in distant Missouri counties who would otherwise be unable to receive a Dermatologist's care. Cosmetic Dermatology Clinic

Feeling good about your appearance goes a long way toward feeling good about yourself. At the University of Missouri Cosmetic Dermatology Clinic, our highly skilled doctors have access to the latest equipment and technologies to provide the best cosmetic treatments and services available.

Dermatologist Nicholas Golda, MD, has a clinic for existing patients of the University Physicians-Dermatology clinic who think they may have skin cancer. We will make every effort to see you the same day or the next day to look at the new or changed spot.
