Cosmetic Services

Thank you for your interest in cosmetic treatments offered by the University of Missouri Department of Dermatology. Dr. Nicholas Golda has received specialized training in dermatologic surgery, laser treatments and cosmetic dermatology and offers the following cosmetic services:

A consultation will be required prior to all cosmetic treatments. Consultation is important to discuss your goals as well as the risks and benefits expected with all available treatments. Treatment may be available on the day of consultation. $75

Botulinum Toxin (Botox)

Used to soften lines on the face by relaxing facial muscles. Typically repeated every 3-4 months. Treatments may require between 10-55 Units. $11/Unit

Pulsed Dye Laser

This laser is used to treat redness caused by small visible blood vessels in the skin and red spots. Common uses include treating facial redness resulting from rosacea or sun damage. The cost is based on the size of the area requiring treatment. Starting at $200 per treatment

Brown Spots

Age spots known as lentigines are removed with our Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (Hoya ConBio Medlite C6). A single treatment is often sufficient to reduce these unsightly spots significantly. Starting at $200 per treatment

Laser Tattoo Removal

Tattoos require a series of treatments with our Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (Hoya ConBio Medlite C6). This laser does not "burn out" the tattoo – it selectively removes the pigment from your skin. Starting at $200 per treatment

Laser Hair Reduction

We use the Lumenis LightSheer Duet laser which provides fast and effective treatments with minimal discomfort. A series of treatments is typically required to achieve complete hair reduction. Please see our separate handout for pricing and details.

Injectable Fillers

Fillers offered include hyaluronic acid (Juvéderm Ultra Plus) and calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse). These agents are used to improve mild to moderate lines and wrinkles on the face as well as to improve the volume of the lips. Results last from 3-6 months to up to a year depending on the filler used. Multiple syringes may be required. $550/syringe

Removal of Normal-Appearing Skin Lesions

Normal-appearing lesions can be removed by multiple techniques. The cost of removal depends on the size of the lesion and the technique utilized for its removal. Some lesions must be sent to a pathologist for review to ensure there is no malignancy present. This will generate an additional charge from the pathologist that can range from $300 - $500 per lesion. $50 - $500 per lesion

Skin Tags

No consultation is required prior to removal of skin tags.
