The University of Missouri Graduate Medical Education program offers residencies in 20 medical specialties and fellowships in 28 medical subspecialties. Links to webpages and information about each program is located on the “About” page of this website. Programs participate in the ERAS and MATCH programs for interviewing, selecting, and hiring residents. All residencies are ACGME accredited. Most fellowships also utilize ERAS and MATCH, although there are a few fellowships are not accredited by the ACGME and may recruit and hire through other sources.
MU residents practice in multiple settings over the course of their training. University Hospitals and its associated clinics are the primary locations for in-patient, out-patient, continuity care, and ambulatory patient care experiences. There are other participating locations as well, including the Veterans Administration Hospital, located across the street from University Hospital. Many specialties also offer experiences in non-hospital affiliated locations, which expands the types of cases and patients with whom the residents will have contact and learning experiences.
