One Year Advanced Hospital Medicine Fellowship Program

I am pleased to announce that effective July 1, 2014 the Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of Missouri School of Medicine-Columbia will offer a new 1-year non ACGME-accredited and Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) registered advanced hospital medicine fellowship. The Advanced Fellowship in Hospital Medicine is designed to help hospitalists tailor a more focused career. It will allow physicians to develop leadership skills which are considered essential for modern hospitalists, learn how to be a teacher and mentor, conduct clinical research, focus on performance improvement and gain more clinical experience—all while learning about the business side of hospital medicine.

Candidates must have completed or are about to complete a three-year ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency training program in the United States and be board eligible/certified.

Our program accepts J1/H1 visa status. We accept applications throughout the year, with the program beginning July 1 each year. Selected candidates will be invited for personal interviews to meet our faculty and fellows, and view the program.

Please send your completed application, curriculum vitae and letter of interest to our Fellowship Coordinator at hospitalist@health.missouri.edu or fax to 573-884-3037.
