Research Interests
Tumor metastasis is the major cause of cancer deaths. Molecules regulating the process by which individual tumor cells detach from the primary site and invade extracellular matrix serve as potential therapeutic targets. I am interested in identifying invasive cell sub-populations and determining the molecular modifications that are responsible for their invasive nature. Understanding these modifications may contribute to understanding of cancer and lead to more efficient treatments.
