Since opening on Dec. 4, 1995, University Optical has provided exceptional service to customers in Mid-Missouri. Our newest location, University Optical East, opened January 11, 2012. It features a complete line of fashion and designer frames for custom eyeglasses, sunglasses, sports eyewear, contact lenses and pediatric frames for babies and children. University Optical shops provide the highest quality eyewear at an affordable price. We are proud of the dedicated staff members who take pride in their work and enjoy helping customers with their eye care needs.

Either Optical shop can fill any eyeglass prescription given to you by an optometrist or ophthalmologist.

Garcia has more than 20 years of experience as an optician and is certified by the American Board of Opticianry.
Norman Blakley, Certified Optician
Blakley has more than 30 years of experience in opticianry. He is a member of the Opticians Association of America and the National Academy of Opticianry.
Karen Triplett, Optician's Assistant
Triplett has more than 25 years of experience as an optician's assistant.
Jamie Bodle, Optician's Assistant
Bodle has 6 years of experience as an optician's assistant.
Employee Discount
University of Missouri faculty, staff and immediate family members receive a 25 percent discount on all purchases, including frames, lenses, low vision aids, contact lenses and solutions. Additional discounts do not apply. We are an out-of-network VSP provider.

- Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
University Optical East hours are:
- Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 - 5:30 p.m.
