Welcome to the University of Missouri Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. I’m thrilled that you’ve chosen to find out more about our department and our educational programs in particular.
Our department has experienced exceptional growth in recent years allowing us to provide phenomenal educational opportunities through residency and fellowship. We’ve also expanded into a 115,500-square-foot orthopaedic hospital, the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute (MOI), which houses seven operating rooms, 45 clinic exam rooms and 18 in-patient beds with further expansion planned. This allows a one-stop shop for our patients and state-of-the art facilities and equipment that you
will be exposed to.
We have over 33 dedicated faculty participating in resident and fellow education and the orthopaedic institute alone houses over 229 staff that work with you during your time with us. We have a dedicated medical education team that will help guide you through your program and a knowledgeable research team that will provide and assist with scholarly activity opportunities.
All of these resources have put us at the forefront of medical education and by joining one of our medical education programs; you will be able to experience the education and innovation first hand!
