Student Programs

Staff and faculty provide professional and career development resources, financial aid guidance, coaching, and advice to support students in their journey towards becoming effective, patient-centered physicians. From before matriculation and beyond graduation, we are focused on assisting students in balancing priorities that promote positive academic outcomes with healthy ways of managing the anxieties that accompany the rigors of medical education.

The Student Programs staff organize major medical student events such as orientation for all classes, the White Coat Ceremony, Family Day, Summer Fellowships, Match Day, the Honors Convocation, and Commencement. We strive to recruit a diverse student body by using a holistic review admissions process. Early exposure to medicine is offered through multiple outreach programs including: Excellence in Learning, the Health Professions Summit, High School Mini Medical School, MedPrep, and our pre-admissions Bryant Scholars Program.

Our Advice, Support and Career Counseling program offers class meetings, specialty forums, individual advising, personal statement and curriculum vitae review, and mock interviews. In addition, the Clinical Advising Tool for Students and Advisors (CATSA), a web-based tool, is designed to assist students and their advisors with the steps required for successful residency application and preparation.
