MU Medical School Welcomes Visiting Students from South Africa, Zambia

Each summer, the University of Missouri School of Medicine offers internship opportunities for visiting international and domestic students interested in health careers. Through partnerships with the University of the Western Cape in South Africa and Copperbelt University School of Medicine in Zambia, three international students will spend their summer interning under the guidance of MU medical school faculty. MU Doctor Reminds Wire BBQ Grill Brushes Can Cause Injuries

Wire-bristle grill brushes are used frequently for cleaning food residue from grill grates, but loose bristles can fall off the brush during cleaning and end up in the grilled food. If consumed, wire bristles can lead to injuries in the mouth, throat and tonsils. An otolaryngologist at MU Health Care would like to remind the public that these injuries can be prevented. Read More
