Health Policy Summit
The Center for Health Policy's Annual Missouri Health Policy Summit brings together health policy makers and health care stakeholders in Missouri to discuss important and emerging health and policy issues facing the health care system in Missouri. Since its inception, it has grown to become a bridge between researchers and policy makers, connecting local and state leaders facing health policy challenges with the knowledge, expertise and resources they need to identify and adequately meet the health policy challenges facing the state and their communities.
The 16th annual Missouri Health Policy Summit will take place Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018.
The 15th Annual Missouri Health Policy Summit, "Setting the Table for Success -- Opportunities for Improved Health through Innovative Links between Food and Health Policy," took place Oct. 26-27, 2017.
Health Equity Conference
The biennial Health Equity Conference, “Healthy Lives – Healthy Communities,” will take place Friday, April 27, 2018, in the Peachtree Banquet Center in Columbia, Missouri. The conference is presented by the Missouri Health Equity Collaborative, the University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing and the Missouri Foundation for Health.
The conference objectives include:
- Assess current efforts that address health disparities in Missouri and develop strategies to meet specific population needs.
- Identify strategies to build inclusive communities, schools and health care systems.
- Connect people and solutions to explore health equity strategies and successful models for addressing social determinants of health.
