Jason began his formal education at Missouri State University in Springfield where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics. His first job was as a clinical dietitian with CoxHealth Systems; he worked in this position for the next two years specializing in renal and heart disease as well as nutrition diagnostics. In 2009, Jason had the opportunity to join the CoxHealth management team in the Food and Nutrition Services department as the Assistant Director of Foodservices. In 2012, he earned his Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. After earning his Master’s degree, he moved into a management position in the Corporate and Employee Wellness department, Jason was in this position for almost a year when he was promoted to the role of System Director of Food and Nutrition Services. As a Regional System Director, he was responsible for six campuses throughout southwest Missouri.

In 2021, Jason was promoted to the, Administrative Director of Operational Development, for CoxHealth Medical Group. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the progress and implementation of all projects for 85 clinics as well as help develop and implement strategic goals within the Medical Group.

Jason is an avid runner and cyclist; he has completed over 30 marathons, multiple adventure races as well as 50, 100 and 100 + mile runs. He has done over 100 presentations on sports nutrition, leadership and change management. He has worked with multiple athletes including hockey players, swimmers, soccer players, body builders and endurance athletes on nutrition plans to help them improve their performance.

Jason lives in Springfield Missouri with Diane, his wife of 25 years; together they have one son, Nick, who is a senior at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Gloria Crull retired as Chief Executive Officer of Family Health Center, a federally qualified health center, in 2017. She earned her MPA and MHA from Mizzou. She has over 50 years of healthcare experience and served as CEO of Family Health Center for 22 years. She is a Fellow in the ACHE. She is currently an advisory council member of the MO Foundation for Health, and the Vice Chair of the advisory council of the Osher Lifelong Learning Program at MU.

Jen Erickson, MHA, MS graduated December 2013. Since August 2018, Jen has served as a Project Director for the Illinois Department of Human Services, Prescription Monitoring Program.  In her current role, Jen is responsible for the implementation of direct integration under the Illinois Controlled Substance Act.  Jen and her team are tasked with connecting all electronic health record systems/pharmacy management systems to the Prescription Monitoring Program. 

Prior to the Illinois Department of Human Services, Jen’s experiences included health insurance, hospice, long-term care, hospital, and physician management.  In her spare time, Jen enjoys cooking, scrapbooking, reading, and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Dave Gardner is a Chicago Southside native who is currently a rising 2nd-year student in the dual master’s program pursuing his MHA & MBA graduating in May of 2023. Dave completed his undergrad at Mizzou as well graduating with his bachelors in health science with an emphasis in leadership and policy in May of 2021. He is currently serving as the president of The Health Management and Informatics Graduate Association.

Jonathan Heidt currently serves as the Vice-Chair of Clinical Operations for the department of emergency medicine at the University of Missouri – Columbia, School of Medicine.  As part of this role, he is the medical director of the University Hospital emergency department and Mizzou Urgent Care.  Dr. Heidt is also the co-medical director of telemedicine for MU Healthcare.  He completed his BS in biochemistry at MU and subsequently completed medical school and residency training at Washington University in St. Louis.  Upon returning to MU as a faculty member in the school of medicine, he completed his MHA through the executive program.  He currently lives in Columbia with his wife and four children.

Richelle Koopman is Professor and Vice Chair for Research and Faculty Affairs for the Department of Family and Community Medicine in the MU School of Medicine.  Richelle received her medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a masters degree in clinical research from Medical University of South Carolina, and has practiced family medicine for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of the prestigious Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) fellowship program for senior leaders. She has active federal funding for research focusing on patient and physician electronic clinical decision support and has received and contributed to research grants from NIH, AHRQ, CMMS, and NSF.

Dr. Katie Korte earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed a PGY1 residency and PGY2 specialty training in Critical Care both at University Health – Truman Medical Center. She achieved the designation of Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist and has achieved a Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Missouri. Katie has served as the University Health Pharmacy Clinical Manager, Director of Pharmacy for the Lakewood campus, and most recently the Director of Outpatient Pharmacy Services and 340B Program Compliance. In September 2022, Katie will be starting a new chapter in her career at Vizient as the Senior Director Independent Community Market, Pharmacy Member Services.

J. Paul O’Haro, MHA, Chief Operating Officer for PracticeSuite:  Mr. O’Haro has over thirty-five years of experience working with physician groups, hospitals, and other healthcare providers in a variety of senior executive roles. In his past role as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer with AdantEdge Healthcare Solutions, he led all the company’s Operations, Client Management, and Information Systems. Mr. O’Haro’s experience includes President and CEO for CompONE, a leading revenue cycle management company in the US. Previously, he was the Regional Vice President for Medaphis Physician Services Corp (now Change Healthcare, previously a division of McKesson Corporation), where he was responsible for managing several of their leading operational centers.   Earlier in his career, Mr. O’Haro worked for Ernst and Young where he focused on operational improvement projects for their hospital clients using TQM (Total Quality Management) and CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) techniques.

Ron Present is a Partner in the Health Care Industry Group at Armanino LLP, advising providers, payors and companies that support the health care industry through a variety of value-add channels. His focus is the integration of providers and providers with payors as a part of the Value Based Care transitions. A 3-time MU grad (BHA, MBA and MHA in ‘87), Ron has over 30 years of health care industry experience in both the public and private sectors. He is Immediate Past-President of the Missouri Chapter of ACHE, currently serves on boards of several institutions, is a past-National Board member of ACHCA (in which he remains a Fellow), and holds several certifications in Missouri – CNHA, CALA, LNHA.

Christie is an MU HMI alum and the Director of Clinical Informatics at University of Missouri Health Care.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University and is a veteran of the Air National Guard.  She is ANCC certified in nursing informatics and has been an RN for 30 years.

Sara Sternberger has been a healthcare and nonprofit senior leader and community volunteer/donor for over twenty-five years. A MU graduate, with both an MBA and n MHA, she has held various executive positions across the Twin Cities. Sara is the Executive Director of the Minnesota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and works remotely from her home in Placitas, New Mexico.  She and her husband, Howard Epstein, MD, are members of the Tocqueville Society of the United Way of Central New Mexico (UWCNM). Sara also serves on the UWCNM Women United Council as Vice Chair, the board of the Albuquerque Museum Foundation, and the Vice President of Sustainer Engagement for the Junior League of Albuquerque. Her daughter, Ellis Tappmeyer, is also an HMI alum living in St. Louis with her husband and toddler.  Her son, Max, recently received his graduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and her other son, Jordan, recently graduated from Mizzou.
