At the University of Missouri, the pursuit of scientific breakthroughs often involves the public. With Participate in Discovery, you can be a part of the university’s mission to improve the lives of all Missourians.
What Participation Means
By joining Participate in Discovery, you express a willingness to be contacted about research studies that match your interests. To enroll, you will answer questions about your general background and lifestyle habits and select topics of interest, ranging from autism to weight loss. This information is then used to match you with studies that match your interests.
Involvement in MU research studies could mean answering questions by telephone or on a computer, or coming to the university and participating in-person. If and how you participate is entirely up to you.
Participate in Discovery is for everyone. There are no costs involved with registering. At any time, you can have your name removed from the list. All participants' information is stored on highly secure computers, and all data transmissions are encrypted.
Individuals who enroll may be contacted by researchers for studies that match their interests.
