Residents practice in a variety of settings at MU Health Care.
Our NICU and Well-Baby Nursery are currently housed at Women’s Hospital coupled with Labor and Delivery Services. The pediatric subspecialty clinics are also located in the Health Pavilion, attached to Women’s Hospital.
While awaiting consolidation into our new Children’s Hospital, our pediatric inpatient services including our general pediatrics floor, PICU, pediatric surgery, and Cancer and Blood Disorder Unit are located at the main University Hospital Campus.
Our outpatient clinics are located at South Providence Medical Park or Battle Avenue Medical Building, both large multi-specialty clinics. Residents maintain a continuity clinic at South Providence or Battle Clinic one half-day per week. Residents also spend one four-week block a year working at MU Pediatrics in the walk-in clinic.
MU broke ground on our brand new Children’s Hospital in October of 2021 with plans to open in Summer 2024. The new hospital will be nature inspired and feature interactive clinic areas as well as an outdoor flower garden. Once our new tower opens, it will house all of our services including inpatient and PICU, pediatric specialty clinics, pediatric surgery, and our NICU and well-baby nursery.
