The University of Missouri School of Medicine has been improving health, education and research for more than 165 years. MU physicians treat patients from every county in the state, and more Missouri physicians received their medical degrees from MU than any other university.

The School of Medicine’s more than 650 faculty physicians and scientists educate approximately 1,100 medical students, residents, fellows and graduate students each year. Their research is focused on lifesaving discoveries that address the most prevalent health problems.

The School of Medicine’s vision is simple: to be a transformational leader in improving health. There has never been a more important time than today for your support to make a difference in what we are able to accomplish. Thank you for giving to the MU School of Medicine.

Medical School Development Scholarship Fund

Our students consistently list financial aid offered as one of the top reasons they chose Mizzou. Scholarships allow us to recruit the best and brightest medical students. Even with financial aid, the average debt for our medical students upon graduation is $172,292. Financial assistance is essential to the many students who might otherwise be unable to afford the dream of becoming a physician. In 2019, 71 percent of our students received an average scholarship of $7,475. We must increase the number and size of these scholarships to remain competitive in attracting the very best future physicians.
