Marshanna Gresham, senior business operations associate in the University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Biomedical Informatics, Biostatistics and Medical Epidemiology (BBME), recently received the April 2026 Service Champion Award by Mizzou’s Staff Advisory Council.
Each year, the Service Champion Award is given to individual employees who go above and beyond their daily duties with a work ethic that makes them stand out.
Gresham was nominated by Randi Foraker, PhD, chair of BBME.
“Marshanna provides exceptional service each day in our department and constantly makes significant contributions for both us and the university,” said Foraker. “She’s instrumental in driving organizational effectiveness. Marshanna proactively creates, implements and refines repeatable processes that improve efficiency, establish clear standards, and support long-term sustainability. BBME is grateful to have her as part of our team!”
Gresham recently celebrated her 20th year as a valued Mizzou employee.
“Each day, I aim to positively impact others and contribute meaningfully to the culture, mission and success of both BBME and Mizzou collectively,” said Gresham. “Being recognized personally by Dr. Foraker adds another layer of significance. It shows me that my contributions and impact are visible not only to my coworkers, but also to those who help guide the department’s direction, values and culture.”
