The Annual Prosthetics and Orthotics Conference is sponsored by the Department of PM&R as part of the ongoing PM&R education lecture series, with a vision to educate PM&R resident physicians and other health professionals who care for patients with amputation related rehabilitation needs.
The conference correlates with the duration of PM&R residency training, rotating on a cycle of three years: patients with upper limb amputation, patients with lower limb amputation, and patients with orthotic needs. The P&O conference educates physicians and other health professionals to optimize their abilities to manage patients with prosthetic and orthotic needs. A combination of lectures and hands on workshops allows attendees to gain the knowledge and skills for this area of rehabilitation care.
The Upper Limb Amputation and Prosthetics Course will take place April 26-27, 2019 at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute, 1100 Virginia Ave, Room 2251, Columbia, MO 65212
