Brad Ferguson MA, PhD

Brad Ferguson, PhD, is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Neurology primarily engaged in research in co-occurring conditions, especially gastrointestinal symptoms, anxiety and the stress response in people with autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Ferguson is also involved in multiple clinical trials in autism. He employs a wide range of methodologies in his research (e.g., heart rate variability, skin conductance, MRI/fMRI, ELISA, wearables, questionnaires) and enjoys collaborating with interdisciplinary colleagues.

Dr. Ferguson is also a research faculty member at the University of Missouri Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment and is a faculty member in the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program (INP) at MU. His research has been funded by the United States Department of Defense, Autism Speaks, Autism Treatment Network, Autism Research Intervention Network on Physical Health (AS ATN AIR-P), the National Academy of Neuropsychology, and the MU Coulter Biomedical Accelerator Program.
