Research Interests
Sleep disorders are a group of conditions that affect the ability to sleep well on a regular basis. Irrespective of the cause, sleep disorders are becoming increasingly common in the United States. Sleep disorders are very crucial for the development of other health problems such as drug abuse, PTSD. I am interested in understanding the neuronal mechanisms underlying sleep problems while currently working on animal models of drug of abuse (alcohol, nicotine) and PTSD.
