Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology

Profile

Syamantak Khan, PhD is an assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. His research work investigates why some cancers evade treatment and pursues evidence-based precision therapies for these cancers. Dr. Khan's Precision Oncology Laboratory at the University of Missouri is devoted to solving complex problems in cancer research through innovation at the interface of multiple disciplines. Some focus areas include organoid-driven precision therapy, radiobiology of ultra-high dose-rate (FLASH) and radionuclide therapy and inventing new cancer imaging tools. With a mission to advance translational cancer research and improve clinical care, Dr. Khan’s lab is dedicated to training students from diverse disciplines and backgrounds.
