Toby Mills, LCSW, PhD

Dr. Toby Mills is a PhD and Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing clinical services to youth and their families in a variety of settings including the educational system, the medical field and the foster care system. Her clinical expertise includes using mindfulness and somatic practices to build stress resilience and her research interests include behavioral health program evaluation.

As a Clinical Consultant for the MU Center for Excellence in Child Wellbeing, Dr. Mills provides support, guidance, and recommendations on non-pharmacological interventions, promotes trauma-informed care, and fosters cross-system communication and collaboration to promote equitable behavioral health services for Missouri’s foster care youth.
