Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences Faculty Receive Recognition from MU Leadership

Dr. Richard Hammer, MD and Dr. Dmitriy Shin, PhD have received a recognition from Dr. Alexander Cartwright, MU Chancellor, Dr. Mark Macintosh, MU Vice Chancellor for Research, and Dr. Steve Wyatt, MU Associate Vice Chancellor and Vice Provost for Economic Development for their innovative research in Visual Diagnostic Heuristics.

This research is aimed at improving accuracy of pathology diagnosis and quality of pathology education. Their novel computational platform, PathEdEx, which leverages novel informatics methods of Digital Pathology and Whole-Slide Image processing as well as Multi-Scale Gaze data will be presented later this year during School of Medicine Grand Rounds.
