Syed Shah, MD, associate professor of Neurology at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, was recently the recipient of an American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2026 Education Award at its annual meeting in Chicago, Illinois.
Shah was recognized with the A.B. Baker Teacher Recognition Award, which honors teachers for their contributions to improving neurology now and in the future.
“Dr. Shah is a skilled professional who combines deep medical knowledge with effective teaching methodologies,” said Brandi French, MD, professor and chair of the Department of Neurology. “He conducts adept communication, technological integration, and effective mentorship. Dr. Shah is committed to ongoing learning and innovation in order to foster a supportive and advanced learning environment in medicine.”
