Members of Camdenton High School’s science research program visited the Thompson Lab Friday, March 22.
Riley Short, a Thompson Lab undergraduate research student, hosted the junior and senior high school students and gave them a tour of the lab. Short was part of Camdenton High School’s research program and the experience motivated him to continue research at the college level
Camdenton High School's science research program allows students to explore their interests in any scientific field and develop an independent research project. The students take these projects across the state to compete in oral and poster level competitions with hopes of being awarded the chance to attend a national level competition.
"I was heavily involved with this program in high school, and it really drove me to continue research at the collegiate level. I am always happy to share my experiences with younger generations to get them excited about the impact you can make performing scientific research. It is also a great opportunity to share all of the fantastic work we do here at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute!"
