MU Health Care is setting the example in patient compliance for patient-reported outcome collections. PatientIQ, a health tech company providing platforms for providers to capture and analyze patient data, recently completed a case study on the use of PatientIQ within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, highlighting its success with the program.
According to a case study conducted by the company, there were 1.5 million patient-reported outcomes collected with an 88% non-surgical patient compliance rate and an 81% overall patient compliance rate.
Theodore Choma, MD, Division Director of Spine Surgery, Vice Chairman of Department of Orthopaedic Sugery and J. Vernon Luck Sr. Distinguished Professorship in Orthopaedic Surgery, said his practice had a 95% patient compliance rate and only missed collecting patient-reported outcomes from four of his patients.
“PatientIQ enables my team to easily monitor patient progress, assess the impact of my treatment decisions, and ensure we are consistently providing evidence-based care to our patients,” said Choma. “I would like to recognize our outstanding support staff for helping to achieve our high compliance rate.”
“The quality of our outcomes data depends on strong patient involvement,” said Maria Luisa Suzzarini, MD, IBCLC, Patient Outcomes Manager with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. “PatientIQ is our partner in improving and maintaining compliance over time and providing the analytics we need to ensure high-quality care.”
Congratulations to our team!
