Julia Nuelle, MD, a board-certified hand and wrist orthopaedic surgeon with the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Missouri Health Care and an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at the MU School of Medicine, was recently awarded with the W.F. Enneking Career Development Grant through MTF Biologics.
The nearly $250,000 grant award will go towards supporting Nuelle’s research in nerve regeneration entitled, “Shelf-Stable Preservation of Viable Nerve Allograft for Treatment of Peripheral Nerve Injury Using PEG Fusion.” The award aims to foster the development of outstanding orthopaedic clinicians and enable them to expand their potential to make significant research contributions to the field of orthopaedics. Recipients of this award will gain the experience needed to pursue an independent and productive career in orthopaedic research and clinical medicine.
Congratulations, Dr. Nuelle!
