Our Mission
The Functional Assessment Screening Team’s goal is to develop innovative motion analysis technology aimed at enhancing health and performance.
We are a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of experts in operative and non-operative sports medicine, physical therapy, strength and conditioning, biomechanics and computer science. We aim to use innovative technology to develop inexpensive, efficient, validated and evidenced-based motion analysis tools. The goal of our research is to improve the health and well-being of patients — including athletes — by identifying risk factors for injury, tracking rehabilitation outcomes and optimizing athletic performance.
Facilities
Our team conducts its research at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute, which includes Mizzou Therapy Services and the Mizzou Motion Analysis Center.
