Verifying the MD Degree
The Medical Education Office manages and maintains all academic records of active and former medical students. The office is responsible for the registration of medical students and the management of their academic file, which includes schedules, test scores, MSPE letters and grades.
The office does not verify residency, fellowships or internships. Those requests should go directly to the department where the physician completed his or her training. See department contacts.
The office routinely processes requests for letters of verification of MD degree, MD verification forms and certification of medical diploma photocopies. Requests can be sent to following address or fax:
University of Missouri
School of Medicine
Attn: Verification Coordinator

Copies of transcripts must be requested from MU's transcript office (573) 882-8252. The transcript office charges a $15 fee to process transcripts. Reach the transcript office online.
A student number is required for online processing. You may contact the Medical Education Office using the information above to obtain this information. All student records are maintained in the Medical Education Office.
The School of Medicine charges a $20 fee for each verification request from schools, clinics, hospitals and agencies. Fees are placed in a medical student scholarship fund. The school does not charge a fee to students or state boards for verification requests. Please make checks payable to the University of Missouri.
