Verifying the MD Degree
The Office of Medical Education manages and maintains all academic records of active and former medical students. The office is responsible for the registration of medical students and the management of their academic file, which includes schedules, test scores, MSPE letters and grades.
The office does not verify residency, fellowships or internships. Verification requests should be directed to the department from which the physician completed his/her training. See department contacts.
The office routinely processes requests for letters of verification of MD degree, MD verification forms and certification of medical diploma photocopies. Requests can be sent to following address or fax:

Transcript copies must be requested from MU's transcript office (573) 882-8252. Note: There is a transcript processing fee. Reach the transcript office online.
A student number is required for online processing. You may contact the Office of Medical Education using the information above to obtain this information. All student records are maintained in the Office of Medical Education.
The School of Medicine charges a $20 fee for each verification request from schools, clinics, hospitals and agencies. Fees are placed in a medical student scholarship fund. There is no fee for students or state boards for verification requests. The School of Medicine is not able to take credit card payments. Please make checks payable to the University of Missouri.
