Profile
Dr. Leary is the Director of Biostatistics in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the Thompson Laboratory for Regenerative Orthopaedics. She is dedicated to improving patient outcomes and treatment regimens. Her research focuses on individualized prediction modeling for medical decision‐making, from both the clinician and patient perspective. Applications of these methods are widely applicable in orthopaedics. Current research includes using machine learning methods to characterize disease progression and risk of disease progression, modeling critical periods of childhood bone growth and bone fragility, and developing pre‐surgical profiles related to muscle and bone health.
