The PARTNORS program is made up of three teams: a Patient Advisor Team, an Administrative Team and a Researcher Team. The Patient Advisor Team consists of 12 patient partners who have a shared experience of complex knee problems.
The team members use their individual experiences to work with researchers to develop studies that meet patients’ needs. The Administrative Team meets and communicates regularly to administrate the program and includes two patient partners to ensure the patient perspective is integrated into all program activities. The Researcher Team is comprised of a multidisciplinary group of clinician scientists, basic scientists, biostatisticians and dedicated orthopaedic research staff all housed in the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute.
