The Center for Integrated Biostatistics and Epidemiology (CIBE) is housed in the Department of Biomedical Informatics, Biostatistics, and Medical Epidemiology (BBME), University of Missouri School of Medicine. The vision of CIBE is to improve population health and healthcare practices through methodological excellence and best practices in biostatistics and epidemiology in scientific research, education, and scholarship.
The mission of this center is to facilitate integrative expertise in biostatistics, epidemiology, research design, data science, and informatics through collaboration, education, technical assistance, and advancing methodological innovation.
CIBE Support
CIBE provides a full spectrum of research design and analytic support designed to enhance the rigor and competitiveness of grant proposals and scientific publications. CIBE support includes expert guidance on protocol development, proposal or manuscript review, study design, selection of measures, and creation of questionnaire or data collection tools; advanced consultation on innovative trial methodologies such as adaptive designs; precise sample size and power computations; and tailored strategies for data access, management, and analysis — from conventional sampling plans to complex and high-dimensional omics data. CIBE also supports the development and implementation of statistical analysis plans, application of advanced analytic methods, interpretation of results, and the drafting and revision of manuscripts and abstracts for preclinical, clinical, and population health studies.
