At the Russell D. and Mary B. Shelden Clinical Simulation Center, enhance your skills with programs focused on patient care, safety, lifelong learning, and research. Our collaboration with Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri, has led to the creation of the Bothwell Rural Family Medicine Residency, aimed at developing service-oriented, evidence-based physicians for rural communities.

Our three-year curriculum covers core family medicine topics with dedicated afternoons and immersive Theme Days featuring lectures, workshops, and interactive stations. The resident-driven Advocacy and Wellness Committee organizes fundraisers and wellness initiatives, including the popular “Operation Pie-fection” event, fostering unity and promoting health advocacy on both local and national levels.

Our nationally ranked, ACGME-accredited program (ACGME 1202811182) (NRMP 1994120C0) offers diverse training opportunities across four clinics, including rural, urban, and FQHC settings.
