Welcome to the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health at the University of Missouri. Our department's dedicated and caring physicians provide a full range of outstanding health care services to women of all ages.

These services include general obstetrics and gynecology, high-risk obstetrics or maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, fertility, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, advanced pelvic reconstruction and women’s wellness.

As faculty members of the MU School of Medicine, we are committed to training our medical students and resident physicians to become excellent obstetrician-gynecologists. Furthermore, our scientists are actively engaged in innovative research that uses basic, clinical and translational approaches to improve the health of women and children.

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at the University of Missouri will be the leading provider of:

  • high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered women’s health care services to the citizens of mid-Missouri and beyond, and
  • excellent education of medical students, residents, fellows and others in women’s health; and be internationally recognized for innovative research in reproductive biology, perinatal medicine and women’s health.

Accreditation

Our residency program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Our most recent re-accreditation was March 2012 and our next accreditation site visit is anticipated in 2022.
