The neurosurgeons at the University of Missouri and MU Health Care deliver comprehensive care for patients suffering from brain and spine tumors, aneurysms and cerebrovascular disease, spine disorders, peripheral nerve disorders, pediatric neurological disorders, epilepsy, and movement and functional disorders.
We aim to provide outstanding patient-centered clinical care focusing on the disease processes affecting the neurological system, and for which neurosurgical solutions may be available.
Our faculty members are not only dedicated providers but are also deeply involved in basic and clinical research. This research allows us to better understand the causes of neurological diseases, and we apply this knowledge toward better diagnoses and treatments for our patients.
Our office and clinics span MU Health Care locations, including University Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, Women's Hospital, Children's Hospital, Missouri Orthopaedic Institute and the Comprehensive Spine Center.
The University of Missouri is home to one of 117 Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-approved neurological surgery residency programs in the nation. Our faculty and staff are committed to producing highly skilled, ethical and compassionate future neurosurgeons. Our comprehensive program teaches not only clinical education but also provides residents research training and opportunities for academic development and scholarship leading to certification by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
