Comparative Effectiveness of Zolpidem and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia in Rural Adults (COZi)

University of Missouri is one of nine collaborating institutions with the California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute as the PCORI aware recipient.

Purpose: To improve treatment of insomnia among rural patients. This study compares effectiveness of three treatment strategies for chronic insomnia - medication (zolpidem or trazodone), CBT-I (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) and combination treatment with medication + CBT-I.
