There are six rotations in the Gastroenterology fellowship program:
- MU Inpatient Consult Rotation
- MU Ambulatory Rotation
- MU Outpatient Endoscopy Rotation
- VA Hospital Rotation
- Hepatobiliary-Pancreatic Diseases & Advanced Endoscopy Rotation
- Research Rotation
- Outside Hepatology & Liver Transplant Rotation (Elective)
- Multi-Disciplinary Rotation (Elective)
- Introduction to Basic/Translational Research Rotation (Elective)
It is also potentially possible for fellows to design and arrange other elective GI clinical rotations during their fellowships, depending on their interests and ultimate career goals. These should be in keeping with the overall ACGME requirements for subspecialty training, and with the overall mission of the fellowship program and Division of Gastroenterology. Such rotations must be discussed (well in advance) and approved by the Fellowship Director and Division Director.
