Faculty and fellows have access to a variety of cancer related conferences: Guests are not allowed at certain conferences due to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.

Weekly Conferences

Monday

  • 8:00 – 9:00 AM: Hematology/pathology conference located in PT210
    The fellows and faculty present interesting patients and the peripheral blood, lymph node and bone marrows are displayed.

Tuesday

  • 7:00-8:00 AM: ENT Multi-D Conference in MA312 / Zoom
  • 8:00 – 9:00 AM:  Core Didactic in MC204
    Fellow and faculty presentations involve didactic lectures related to Hem/Onc topics.

Wednesday

  • 8:00 – 9:00 AM: Multi-D Conference in PT2107
    Disciplinary conference presents on average five to ten cases per week. The cases are discussed in a multidisciplinary approach with all specialties available (hematology/oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, diagnostic radiology, pathology) and appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations are made.
  • 1:00-2:00 PM: Thoracic Tumor Board Conference – Zoom only

Thursday

  • 7:00-8:00 AM: 1st and 3rd Thursday: Urology Tumor Board in PT2107/Zoom
  • 8:00 – 9:00 AM: Core Didactic in MC204
    Fellow and faculty presentations involve didactic lectures related to Hem/Onc topics.
  • 12:00–1:00 PM: Internal Medicine Grand Rounds Presentation – ACUFF /Zoom

Friday

  • 7:00 – 8:00 AM:  Breast Multi D Conference – Zoom only
  • 7:00 - 8:00 AM: Every other week - Musculoskeletal (MSK) Multi D – Zoom only
  • 8:00 – 9:00 AM: Board Review Conference – Zoom only

Annual Conferences

Throughout the course of training, each fellow is expected to attend regional and national scientific meetings and conferences, particularly the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology national meetings.
