Grants and Contracts Office
The Grants and Contracts Office is a support unit whose goal is to provide coordinated, responsive assistance to support the work of researchers; their mandate is to provide a high-degree of customer service and to help streamline the process of applying for grants, contracts, and clinical trials.
The G&C Team provides coordinated assistance to faculty who are submitting grants or developing agreements with sponsors to conduct research projects. The key focus of the team is to review and assist with the development of budgets and to help faculty to meet university administrative policies and agency guidelines. To optimize service, applications should be submitted to the Grants and Contracts Office seven (7) working days before the sponsor deadline.
The Grants and Contracts Office provides coordinated assistance to faculty who are seeking to develop agreements with sponsors or clinical research organizations (CROs) to conduct clinical trials. The Grants and Contracts Office assists investigators in areas including development of budgets, sponsor negotiations (in collaboration with OSPA), and streamlining the approval process. To appropriately recover costs for clinical trials, the Grants and Contracts Office begins providing support prior to the budgetary negotiations with sponsors.
