Executive Editor
The key role of the Executive Editor is:
- To act as an ambassador for the journal.
- To promote scholarship in the specialist field associated with the journal.
- To promote the journal as the best journal to publish in.
- To attract new and established authors and article submissions.
Editor(s)-in-Chief
The editor(s)-in-chief are the lead editors. His/her primary responsibilities include:
- Directing the overall strategy of the journal.
- Reviewing and deciding upon submitted manuscripts to ensure sustainable and timely publishing flow.
- Encouraging new and established authors to submit articles.
- Setting up a reliable panel of expert reviewers.
Associate Editors
Associate Editors are chosen for their expertise in key areas related to the journal. Their main role is:
- To bring together a range of key individuals within the field who can advise on journal strategy, help the journal development, and promote new initiatives.
- To offer expertise in their specialty area, to provide feedback, and to add credibility to the journal.
- To act as a team of potential reviewers with an active interest in the success of the journal. Editors usually make the final decisions on their assigned manuscripts, but the editor(s)-in-chief may wish to review these decisions.
Copy Editors
Copy-editors role include:
- Assessing correctness, consistency, and precision to make articles acceptable and readable.
- Checking grammar and spelling.
- Making sure that the figures and tables are suitable for publication.
- Checking citations and bibliographical references.
Editorial office administrator
A key contact for new editors who may need assistance in learning the journal’s workflow and the editorial office system.
