The Radiology equipment research rates vary depending on the type of research being performed and funding sources.
Clinical Trials
- Standard of Care exams may be billed to the patient or their insurance depending on the study IRB protocol.
- Employing clinical standard of care Radiology imaging often are billed through the usual clinical process. Charges for the use of Radiology services will be based on CPT code and come from the Research Pricing Request form.
- Other exams may be billed to the grant or sponsor.
Research
Research employing Radiology imaging room time will be billed by the hour, according to the table below.
