Research Interests: Male Reconstruction and Prosthetics, Renal Cell Carcinoma, Post-Treatment Quality of Life Outcomes

Hobbies/interests: Hiking, golf, tennis, skiing, cooking and trying new foods, basketball, rap and folk music

Bio: I grew up in a suburb of St. Louis and attended the University of Kentucky for undergrad. There, I majored in Agricultural Biotechnology and became a Kentucky sports fanatic. I moved back to Missouri for medical school at Mizzou and started dating my wonderful girlfriend, Holly, who I met while at UK. I was so excited to match at Mizzou Urology as it is where I fell in love with urology through the wide range of pathologies seen here, early procedural/operative experience, and genuine camaraderie between residents and attendings. The ability to operate with Dr. Wakefield on a kidney transplant, go to “war” with Dr. Weinstein in Monday afternoon clinic, or play in a “friendly” pickleball tournament as a division makes Mizzou Urology a great place to learn and enjoy residency. On top of all that, Columbia offers a ton of great local bars and restaurants, more than enough tennis courts, and the amenities and events that can only be found in a true college town.

The urology program her has a great culture and I have really enjoyed getting to work with all residents and attendings!

My wife is from Chicago, and it was really nice getting to spend time with her family.

I’m thankful to have found several mentors in urology at Northwestern that really spurred my interest in the field. Ultimately, I was thrilled to find out that I had matched at Mizzou in my hometown of Columbia. I’m looking forward to being back home and spending more time with my family. My wife and I recently had our first baby (Graham) and we are really looking forward to raising him in Columbia. I love Columbia and Mizzou Urology and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!

Research interests: quality improvement

Hobbies/Interests: Golf, downhill Skiing, baking, grilling, sports, gym, hiking with dog

Bio: I grew up in northern Minnesota and attended undergraduate at University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Because of this, I grew up exploring nature, skiing, fishing/hunting, and am extremely into MN sports.

I studied Biochemistry and Maths in college and attended UNMC after a gap year where I gained experience in the medical field and traveled to Ireland. At UNMC I discovered my interest in Urology.

I moved to Columbia in May 2021 with my girlfriend Beth and puppy Lucy. We love all the nature area that are here in town and spend a lot of time hiking with our dog. The town has both a college town feel as well as suburban areas where I live. The faculty here embrace us as family and have helped me throughout my training to improve daily.

Research Interests: Minimally invasive Surgery/Robotics

After Residency: Unknown

Hobbies: Hiking, Golfing, Biking, Spending time with my wife and pets.

Bio: I grew up in Lincoln, NE and attended the University of Nebraska where I majored in biology with a minor in history. I stuck around in my home state for medical school and attended it at UNMC. I quickly realized I wanted to go into a surgical field. I chose urology as I felt it had a ton of variety with many types of procedures. Also as a bonus we get to play with lasers! I ranked Mizzou because I loved Columbia and it reminded me a lot of my home town. I also enjoyed the residents and faculty here and felt they were very down to earth.

I recently got married this March to my beautiful wife, Paige. We have two pets who we love, our cat Michael and our dog, Theo (In picture). We have been through a lot of changes together the past few months with moving and buying our first home together!

In my spare time I enjoy hiking and feel I have moved to a perfect city for this. I’m still surprised how many trails there are nearby! I’m so far enjoying my time here and feel the city along with the program are a perfect match for me!

I moved here with my husband who is a high school teacher at a local high school, along with our two dogs and cat. We recently had our first baby, Jersey! We love it here and are so excited to be a part of such an awesome program and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!

I love all the tailgates, homecoming, cultural events, the fun restaurants/bars in Columbia, and it has a great cost of living. The thing that sets our program here is the sense of family/team we have. All the residents and faculty are great to work with and learn from. We also get good operative experience that starts from the PGY-1 year and grows exponentially as you progress through the program.

Hometown: St. Louis, Mo

Medical School: University of Missouri, Kansas City

Research interests: Oncology

After residency: The only thing that I have planned out so far is that I end up somewhere near mountains so I can take my dogs hiking. I have a goal to hike the John Muir trail and bike the Colorado Trail some day.

Hobbies/Interests: I enjoy being very active. I spend my free time, working out, trail running, biking, paddle boarding all of which are made significantly better when my dogs join.

Bio: I was born and raised in St. Louis. I went to undergrad at Millikin University (you shouldn’t have heard of it) where I played football and met my significant other, Lindsey. We have been together since 2012. Not long after we met we adopted our German Shepherd-Husky, Stella. We added Indy (German Shepherd) to our pack 2 years later. Finally, Gambit (German Shepherd-Malinois) was added earlier this year. We love being active and adventuring with our dogs.
