Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology Gift Fund
Fund is used to provide patients and their families with events and activities to build networks to support within the community. It is also used to fund a staff member to provide medical expertise for one week at Camp Quality (a summer camp for pediatric cancer patients).
Child Health Research Institute
The Child Health Research Institute’s primary mission is to facilitate research activities, scholarship and innovation within the Department of Pediatrics and the University of Missouri at large with the ultimate goal of fostering optimal health care and wellness to all children living in mid-Missouri and beyond.
Pediatrics Unrestricted
Used at the discretion of the Department Chairman, this fund assists with various research projects/presentations, events and patient education materials. This enables the department to provide funding for projects that may nt have a designated funding source. Examples include: Adolescent Medicine (obesity and eating disorders); Infectious Diseases (PANS/PANDAs research); and Pediatric Rheumatology and Immunology. May include student/resident/staff recognition for special projects that impact the needs of our patients and a broad impact on the community.
Cystic Fibrosis Research and Education
This fund is used for patient/family education materials and professional education for primary care providers on the ongoing research for Cystic Fibrosis.
John W. and Marvellee M. Ridgeway Fellowship
Funds research project expenses for medical students/residents under the supervision of a faculty sponsor. Funds are used for expenses related directly to the research projects (data analysis, posters, printing, some travel-related expenses for presentations of the projects at national conferences).
Juvenile Diabetes Research
Funds utilized for patient/family education materials, patient logs and nutritional guides.
