The Department of Health Management and Informatics at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is a leader in health management and informatics education, research and service.
The department offers graduate certificates in health informatics, public health informatics, project management, and health ethics, as well as master's degrees in health administration (MHA) and health informatics (MS). Students may pursue master's degrees on campus through our residential program or primarily online through our executive program for working professionals.
Our faculty members research and develop methods for monitoring population health. HMI researchers continue to secure federal funding to pursue their work, and health outcomes and information research is one of the top areas of strength at the MU School of Medicine. Because of our faculty member's expertise and the strength of our research centers, industry leaders regularly call on our faculty members for strategic consulting.
