Throughout a rigorous 12-month curriculum, PA fellows rotate through the adult, pediatric, and community emergency departments associated with MU Health Care.
This broad range of EM experience is enhanced with rotations in internal medicine, the surgical intensive care unit and many more units. During clinical rotations, fellows will be trained to monitor, diagnose and provide excellent treatment for a variety of adult and pediatric patients. In addition to bedside clinical experience, fellows will gain hands-on training that prepares them for providing great bedside patient care through simulation activities in the Russell D. and Mary B. Shelden Clinical Simulation Center.
Other educational opportunities for EM PA fellows include:
- Weekly didactic conferences
- Monthly journal clubs
- Hands-on procedural training
- SIM lab
- Bedside ultrasound training
- Attendance of the annual SEMPA conference
