The Department of Neurology is proud to offer a newly ACGME-accredited fellowship in Vascular Neurology. This is a one-year fellowship for graduates of Neurology Residency Programs.
University of Missouri Health Care has been designated one of the state’s first Level I Missouri State Time Critical Diagnosis Stroke Centers, the highest recognition a health system can receive for its stroke program. The fellow will work with physicians who have many years of experience in the field of stroke care.
Awards and Accreditations
The Missouri Stroke Program has been certified as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission.
The Missouri Stroke Program has received the Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from Get With The Guidelines, a hospital-based quality improvement program developed by the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association.
The Missouri Stroke Program has also been named to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Target: Stroke Honor Roll.

- Three letters of recommendation – written within the past 12 months
- USMLE or COMLEX must be completed prior to the Match. Submission of USMLE/COMPLEX transcripts is required
