The University of Missouri offers ACGME accredited Fellowships in Clinical Neurophysiology, Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology, and Vascular Neurology.
A UCNS accredited Neuro Critical Care fellowship is also offered, as well as unaccredited programs in Advanced Sleep Medicine and a transitional year for candidates wishing to enter the accredited Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology fellowship.
Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship
The Department of Neurology offers an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology. This is a one-year fellowship for graduates of Neurology Residency Programs. The fellow will work with physicians who have many years of experience in the fields of Epilepsy, Neuromuscular, and Sleep Medicine.
Neuro Critical Care Fellowship
The Neuro Critical Care Fellowship program is accredited by the United Council for Neurological Subspecialties (UCNS). This program aims to produce well rounded, caring physicians who are able to resuscitate and support the acutely-ill neurological patient. Program length is based upon post-graduate training or other specialty training.
Fellows work closely with neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neurologists, emergency medicine, as well as other medical and surgical subspecialists. Upon completion of this fellowship, the fellow will be able to provide appropriate therapies to treat the primary injury and facilitate the patient’s transition to a recovery environment.
Neuro Endovascular Intervention Fellowship
The department of Neurology is pleased to offer an Accredited fellowship in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology ESN. This is one of very few ACGME accredited ESN fellowships in the nation.
Sleep Medicine Fellowship
The Sleep Medicine Fellowship program is a one year fellowship accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). This program accepts two fellows per year. Upon completion of the program, these fellows will be educated as well-rounded, caring physicians who are able to diagnose and treat a variety of sleep disorders. Our Sleep Medicine Certified faculty have more than 50 years of combined experience in the discipline.
Vascular Neurology Fellowship
The Vascular Neurology Fellowship is a one year and newly ACGME accredited fellowship for graduates of Neurology Residency Programs. Fellows have the opportunity to learn from physicians at a Level I Missouri State Time Critical Diagnosis Stroke Center.
